Jeffrey Jones, Esq.

Jeffrey Jones is a dedicated attorney and Maine native with over 40 years of experience serving clients in southern Maine. His practice focuses on family law, real estate, corporate law, and estate planning, including wills and probate.

Graduating from the University of Maine Law School in Portland, Jeff has been licensed to practice in Maine’s state and federal courts since 1982. He is also licensed in Massachusetts. He is an active member of the Maine State Bar Association and the Cumberland County Bar Association and a supporter of the University of Maine School of Law Alumni Association.

Jeff has held leadership roles as president and legal counsel for the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine (S.A.M.), where he advocates for the rights of hunters, fishermen, and landowners. His practice emphasizes business matters, land-use cases, real estate disputes, estate planning, and contested divorce cases. He offers his services on both an hourly and contingency fee basis.

Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Lucia, and their children, Natalie and Andrew. As the firm’s managing partner, he is committed to providing personalized legal solutions tailored to his clients’ needs.

Katie R. H. Dakers, Esq.

Katie Dakers is a dedicated attorney based in Scarborough, Maine, with a passion for helping local residents navigate a variety of legal matters. Her practice spans several areas, including real estate, corporate law, estate planning and probate, criminal law, family law, and personal injury. Katie earned her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law in 2013 and is a member of both the Maine Bar and the United States Supreme Court Bar. She works closely with Attorney Jeff Jones, collaborating to strengthen her expertise across all aspects of the law.
 
Katie began her career in 2013 at the Waldo County District Attorney’s Office, handling both misdemeanor and felony cases. Later on she moved to the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office, where she specialized in the complex prosecution of domestic violence misdemeanor and felony cases. She was subsequently chosen by the Maine Attorney General’s Office to prosecute high-stakes felony drug trafficking and drug importation cases.  She has conducted several demanding and intricate trials and successfully argued cases before the Maine Supreme Court.  Katie transitioned to private practice to broaden her legal expertise.
 
A proud Scarborough resident, Katie enjoys family life with her husband Adam, a Scarbrough native, and their children, who look forward to spending time at the beach in the summer and skiing at local Maine mountains in the winter.
